Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project – Phase 2 Starts Sept. 22

Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project – Phase 2 Starts Sept. 22

Daily Garage 1 Shuttle Bus Stop Locations Changes Start Sept. 22

Changes are coming for those who use the shuttle bus stop shelters on the south side of Daily Garage 1 at Washington Dulles International Airport. Starting the week of September 22 and continuing into November, those shelters will be relocated to make room for construction of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project’s Metrorail station at Dulles Airport.

The relocations will be phased. Starting next week, Shuttle Bus Stop 3 at the west end of the garage will be closing for approximately five (5) weeks. When that work is done, Shuttle Bus Stops 1 and 2 will close consecutively for approximately two weeks each. Two of the three shuttle bus stops will remain open at all times.

As each shuttle bus stop shelter is being relocated, the shoulder of the bus lane leading up to that shelter will be closed while utility work is completed. Signage will direct pedestrians to the open shuttle bus stops, and barriers will be in place to prevent access to areas that are under construction.
