Utility Work at Herndon-Monroe Park & Ride Begins Monday, October 26

Beginning on or about Monday, Oct. 26, and continuing through the end of the year, Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews will be installing water and sewer lines that will serve the future Herndon Metrorail Station now under construction in the median of the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH).  The work will take place near the Herndon-Monroe Park & Ride facility on Sunrise Valley Drive.

Metro Service Advisory for Stadium-Armory Metrorail Station: Only Blue Line trains will stop at Stadium-Armory during rush hours


Starting Tuesday, September 29, Metro will implement a service change at Stadium-Armory Station to reduce "stop and go" rush-hour rides and congestion on the Orange, Silver and Blue lines following a major transformer fire that occurred on Sept. 21.

Free Connector Bus Pass Pilot Program

Beginning with the 2015/2016 academic year, Fairfax County Public Schools, Fairfax Connector, FCDOT and the County of Fairfax, CA are offering a free Student Bus Pass Pilot Program at all Fairfax County High Schools and Middle Schools allowing registered students to ride the Fairfax Connector for free. Information is available in each school’s administration office; parent’s/guardian’s approval is necessary to sign up.

THE SILVER LINE CELEBRATED its first birthday Sunday evening, July 26 with an outdoor movie and festivities at the Wiehle-Reston East stop.

“Wiehle-Reston East continues to be the Silver Line’s commuting powerhouse, surpassing first-year ridership projections with nearly 9,200 boardings, or 18,400 weekday entries and exits last month,” said Mike Tolbert, public information officer with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

On Friday May 15, 2015 Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association invite you to celebrate bicycling as a clean, fun, and healthy way to get to work.
